Check in
You will receive an email one day before arrival about our Hotelbird check-in service.
To check in at our Arena Hotel, please check in using the Hotelbird app or the link in the email.
This is also possible one day before arrival without notification here.
This allows us to comply with the Federal Registration Act before your arrival and to expedite the check-in process.
If you arrive outside of our reception hours, please use our check-in kiosk at the rear of the building or the Hotelbird app. There you can pay, receive your room card or digital key, and a receipt with your room number and Wi-Fi access.
The key card opens the main entrance door/night entrance and the respective room door/entrance gate (if parking is booked).
In your room, please insert the card into the designated holder to activate the electrical devices. You can also use any other card of the same size.
Please note that photo ID and a credit card are required for check-in.
Emergency number: The emergency number can be found to the left of and on the check-in machine, as well as to the right of the reception entrance.
This number is for emergencies only, not for reservations or similar purposes. Thank you.
Please note that the machine only accepts card payments.
(VISA, V-PAY, MAESTRO, GIROCARD, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, JCB, UNION PAY, DINERS CLUB)
If you have already paid in advance, this will be noted in the check-in machine and in the Hotelbird app, and no further payment is required.
You can conveniently pay for additional services and the City of Frankfurt’s tourism contribution at the machine or in the Hotelbird app.
Parking
If you have already reserved a parking space and it has been confirmed by us, you will receive the code for the entrance gate before reception closes.
If you have not yet booked a parking space, you can book it at the check-in machine using the “I do not have a reservation” button, subject to availability.
The machine will then issue a key card, which opens the entrance gate.
Tourism Contribution of the City of Frankfurt am Main
Since January 1, 2018, the City of Frankfurt has been charging a tourism contribution of €2.00 per person per night.
The only exceptions are business travelers and school classes.
If the stay is necessary for professional reasons, this declaration must be submitted on the registration form upon check-in, stating the employer and their address.
Only then can the tourism contribution be waived.

The tourism contribution statutes have changed as of October 1, 2024.
Overnight stays for business purposes are now also subject to a fee.
